As someone who loves to travel and document the places I’ve been fortunate enough to visit, my preferred tool of choice has always been an old analogue camera. As a self-taught photographer, this is how I first learned my craft. Call me old-fashioned, but the tangible, mechanical nature of shooting on 35mm film has always held a special appeal.

The anticipation of waiting for the results — trusting the process — remains an integral part of my creative journey, bringing me nothing but sheer joy. My love for street photography and the thrill of discovering hidden moments not immediately visible to the naked eye is as captivating now as it was the day I first held a manual 35mm camera.

In 2023, my rucksack was stolen at Ibiza Airport. Inside were my laptop and, most painfully, my beloved Leica M6 35mm film camera. It took quite some time to come to terms with the loss and even longer to find a replacement travel camera.

My love for film photography has never faded and never will. However, buying another M6 simply wasn’t an option. Eventually, I made the move to digital—and so did my son.
